Why this site exists

Most software review sites in the call tracking space are built for marketing teams at companies with budgets. The owner of a flower shop reading those sites finds a recommendation list of tools that all start at $145 a month. None of those tools fit the budget of the actual reader.

So the goal here is simple. Honest reviews. Honest, no jargon. Real prices written next to real features. If a tool fits the budget of a main-street shop, it gets covered. If it does not, it is mentioned but not recommended.

How I work with clients

I do not sell software. I do not take vendor commissions outside the affiliate links disclosed on this site. I help business owners pick a tool, set it up, and walk away in a week or two. Most of my work is selection, setup, and a short training. After that, the owner runs the tool. That is the right shape for a main-street business.

I have helped about thirty businesses pick a call tracking tool over the past two years. Roughly half ended up on the cheap pick. The other half had specific reasons (existing CRM debt, healthcare compliance, deep integration needs) to pick something else. Both groups were happy with the outcome.

How this site makes money

The site is reader supported. When a reader clicks a link to a tool and signs up, the site earns a small referral fee at no extra cost to the reader. That is how the bills get paid. The reviews are written first, the affiliate links added second, and the rankings do not change based on which vendor pays a higher commission.

Family Cow Farm Stand is run by an independent reviewer. It is not owned by, employed by, or affiliated with any of the tools reviewed. The methodology is published on the methodology page and applied identically to every tool, including the recommended one.

Editorial standards

Every tool on this site has been set up at least once for a real client running real ads. The screenshots are real. The price tags are checked against the vendor sites the week the review goes live. When a vendor changes pricing, the review gets a footnote and an updated date. Corrections are welcome at the email on the contact page.
